Your Questions About Adhd Medications List

Michael asks…

Can ADHD or depression/anxiety medications stop the pill from working?

Someone said their medication stopped their bc from working, is that possible? is there of list of medications that do that?

barry jennings answers:

No. The pill is a hormone thing, whereas ADHD medications are just simple stimulants. They should not conflict, but talk to your doctor anyway, he/she is probably very smart and wants to help.

Jenny asks…

Am I over-medicated, the same physician practice prescribed all medications to be taken daily or as needed?

My Medication List is as follows:
Daily: seroquel, asmanex,Prevacid, adderall, HCTZ (blood pressure), bupropion, and citalopram
As needed:maxalt mlt, tramadol, propoxyphene, and loratadine.

I have been diagnosed bi-polar and depressed, ADHD, asthma, GERD, have been in 3 car accidents, and migraines. Any insights would be helpful. Thanks

barry jennings answers:

You may want to get a second opinion, or talk to some specialists in the areas in which you’ve been diagnosed. I’m not saying you are over-medicated, but that it is good to be cautious and aware of side effects or interactions.

Additionally, there are some physicians out there who rely so much on medication that they lose sight of actually helping patients.
