I’m ADD and I decided to watch this documentary. Then I wanted to show my family and friends to better understand who I am and how my brain works. There are trends as I did not know I was related to my ADD. If you know and / or anyone who is love ADD, please watch this!

I caught this a few times on PBS and I can not tell you how happy I am that it is now available on Amazon.

in “Adding and love it!?” They do an excellent job of introducing adult ADHD and how it is arranged you may forget it’s a documentary. It is perfect for those of us who have ADD, because they bounce around from topic to topic while interviewing several experts in the field while covering the issues you have found yourself wondering in the past. Patrick McKenna woman adds about as much humor about it than her husband, and it certainly helps explain things for yourself or your friends and family.
      As someone who is
A.D.D. Primary-Inattention, I took Ritalin from elementary school to middle school and high thanks in part to the medication has finally learned to manage my life without it, as I said can begin to appreciate the brief section on drugs in particular the analogy training wheels (although it’s not as easy as riding a bike – and it is not “like riding a bike” because I think you can forget how to manage your life if you do not take steps to stay on top of things).

However, the only problem I had was with the documentary, discussing drugs, I really felt they could spend more time discussing this aspect (although is logical that they did not go too deep because it’s really something that should be discussed with a doctor and not a documentary). Most of the time devoted to discussion of drugs have been spent going over the pros and almost no disadvantages, but they did clearly that the drug does not always work for everyone. For a few moments, I felt like I was watching a pharmaceutical commercial calls all the wonderful benefits of medication and how it is safe comparing the safety incentives successful in aspirin and aspirin-related deaths of its effects secondary. The most aggravating thing about it was the emphasis on “the security of well-run incentives, but while covering the deaths related to aspirin they mention how it is used to commit suicide. which to me feels like comparing apples to oranges (such as aspirin in this way is not the use of aspirin well managed).

Overall, an excellent documentary and I’ll still give it five stars because there is nothing else out there of this magnitude that explains things so well, and as I have said as a tool for introducing your friends and family about how your brain works, it’s great. I just wish they would have gone further and done better to defend the position of stimulants as a healthy way to manage ADD (which I have no doubt) with more facts and statistics, while addressing some of the myths that surround the use of stimulants … but I do recommend it and plan to share it with my family and my friends at once and not ADD.

I bought this to watch with my husband, who suffers from ADD. Both of us were already fairly well informed on the subject, but we still learned a lot from the video. He did an excellent job of collecting all the “son” that cross the life of people with ADD, explain them in a way that is fun, challenging and useful. My husband would have survived if the watch does not have an up-beat title. I was relieved that the presentation is well balanced and realistic, but provided hope for our marriage!

base to take away is that this condition wrecks lives and families if unrecognized and uncontrolled, but the direction of diagnosis, understanding and realistically can do more than simply “aleviate” symptoms. People with ADHD can have fabulous success and satisfaction in life. Things they can do and how to “normal” people can not!
A further important point is that people do not grow on ADD, it is often confused with depression or anxiety in adults. It is therefore important to find a doctor who really knows how to diagnose ADD.
      Both my husband and
I learned new things in this video, and it has certainly improved our attitudes. I was a little put off initially by the rapid pace of the video and jumping from one interview to various experts, but I adjusted quickly when I realized that the message really makes sense and stands . And it actually caught my attention better than most documentaries. They had a lot of information in this – hats off to the editor!

I intend to recommend this video to anyone who knows or suspects that they have ADD, and members of their families. Parents: It is very important to catch early in life. When my husband was young, we knew very little about ADD, and there was really no treatment. Then he suffered at school when he could have been an excellent student. Today is a whole new world. This is a very treatable condition.
